Friday night’s dinner cruise set the tone beautifully. It gave me the chance to connect with a few incredible women before the weekend really kicked off, easing my nerves and making networking feel more like catching up with old friends.
The breakout classes gave me a chance to step into a student role — I sat in on a spray tan demo just out of curiosity, and I walked away inspired and creatively recharged. I even got to reconnect with a dear friend from Michigan who was also speaking at the event — we had brunch, shared laughs, and made memories I’ll never forget.
And while the weekend was full of learning and connection, I also carved out time to just be. Sitting by the pool, soaking up the sun, and watching the boats go by on the lake reminded me how important it is to pause and take it all in. There’s truly nothing like a Wisconsin weekend in June.
The Sunless Gala opened a door I didn’t even realize I was ready to walk through — the opportunity to share my voice, connect on a deeper level, and inspire others through the power of story. I’ll always be grateful for that stage and the incredible women in the room.
